About the course
An online course for leaders to get comfortable with distributing authority. It is full of experiments and tools to use straight away, along with exercises that explore our discomfort with the unpredictable.
Leaders know that autonomy in teams can lead to more creativity and resilience in the group.
As a result, leaders often hand over as much authority as they can. Only to pull it all back again when something unexpected happens.
This leaves teams feeling dizzy and the leader frustrated. It makes it almost impossible to distribute authority again in the future as team members expect it to get taken away at any moment.
This course makes the process of distributing (and redistributing) authority a more conscious one. We cover the tools, habits, and practices that make building resilient teams a steadier journey.
Much of the challenge here lies in a leader's discomfort with the unknown. This is no surprise - traditional corporate culture thrives on certainty.
Incorporating a level of not knowing into your approach to leadership leaves room for:
curiosity (and openness to what might be)
others to take on responsibility for finding answers
